DESCRIPTION:Thomas Devitt is an environmental specialist in the city of Austin’s Watershed Department and a research fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. Thomas Devitt served as the lead author of the Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences article\, “Species delimitation in endangered groundwater salamanders: Implications for aquifer management and biodiversity conservation”. The article unveiled Devitt and his team’s exciting discovery of three new species of groundwater salamanders in Central Texas. Devitt will be sharing the findings from the article and providing information about the new salamander species. \n
