More about the Speaker:
Dr. Juan Moya is a senior geoscientist at Freese and Nichols, Inc (FNI) with 28 years of international experience working on coastal issues. He lead’s FNI’s efforts on projects involving geosciences and geomorphology in the Gulf of Mexico.
While working for the state at the Texas General Land Office (GLO), he represented Texas in several national technical coastal committees with federal and state agencies including: Regional Sediment Management (RSM); Hazard Mitigation; Management of the Texas Tide Databases and Relative Sea Level Rise; and the Gulf of Mexico Alliance (GOMA).
Currently, Dr. Moya serves as consultant for the USACE-Galveston District and GLO Coastal Program for coastal geomorphological assessments, sediment management and habitat restoration.
